With all of this whirling around you, it’s completely normal to feel overwhelmed at some point; which is why we are here to provide you with mini checklists to help you get back on track!
By now, you know about the importance of developing fine motor skills and how crucial it is for toddler development. It is a branch of child development that involves the coordination of minuscule parts of your toddlers body and it can be very easy to overlook some of the fine motor aspects that can cause significant challenges in their later years.
The Fine Motor Skills Checklist
Fine motor skills involve the use of small muscles which control the hand, fingers and thumb. One thing to keep in mind is that, every child is different and every child will struggle initially.
And while each of them will develop at different rates, (after all, this is a strengthening exercise), it’s important for parents to be headstrong and ensure your toddler is able to start showing traces and effort of developing their fine motor skills. Once they do, it’ll be much easier to expand the objects they have to pick and work with.
